So I registered for Woodland Trails in Oakville and was excited about buying a new home in this project. Like many others I was disappointed to see that the first phase was sold out so quickly and I was contacted only after most of the models were gone and left was few that really did not interest me.
Rosehaven Homes, I believe was the first to release the information and ballpark prices. What was different about this project marketing was that there was a lot of secrecy about the inventory and prices. The sales people did not answer calls or responded to inquiries.
What I see now on there website is a bunch of SOLD OUT models and a site plan with almost half of the land released in the first phase. Sure there will be a second phase but the prices may be jacked up considerably.
The first collection included freehold townhouses, semi-detached homes and detached dwellings. The way some of the detached and townhomes were designed was interesting. With the garage in the back and a large window with unobstructed view from the living room surely was something creative in the architecture of these new homes.
Personally, I liked the design of homes by Rosehaven. Modern architecture with beautiful finishing of either stucco or stone veneer. Starlane designs are simplistic and ordinary brick finishing. Let’s see what is the next phase all about and if prices remain the same, definitely I will go for a Detached House or a spacious townhouse.
Woodland Trails project is located at the corner of Neyagawa and Dundas.
